- Mark Twain
Nevada is most famously or maybe infamously known for the oasis in the Mojave desert, the city of Las Vegas. The city stands as a bright and glittering adult Disney Land in the endless seeming vastness of the Big basin.
But once you leave the Sin City, only a few hours away, you'll find the beauty of the desert, the Valley of Fire State Park, the Nevada side of the Death Valley and the largest water conservatory in the United States, Lake Mead.
